How to ensure safety when doing handicrafts with children

Children start working with handicraft tools at the age of three or four. However, they are still not aware of the dangers like older people and can therefore sometimes be careless with them. The Hubelino craft templates require scissors, pens and glue. Please support your children in taking as many steps as possible where sharp and pointed objects are used. The best way to do this is to explain all tools to your child or children at the beginning. It is especially important to show them how to hold and use them safely. The most important safety rules when crafting with Hubelino templates are

  1. When carrying pointed and dangerous tools, the tip should point downwards. Scissors should only be carried and put down when closed. Scissors with rounded tips are ideal for children.
  2. For all steps in which paper or cardboard has to be glued on, craft glue or adhesive corners for photos are particularly suitable.
    children should be avoided.
  3. After the handicraft work has been completed, all tools should be returned safely to their original place.
